Testimonials:

“I followed the course with Estelle just before going back to work from maternity leave. I wanted to help myself finding a balance as a new working mom. The course gives concrete tips to release stress and to find balance. Estelle is a very kind, opened and serious teacher which enables people to feel at ease from the start.” Marine – MBSR participant

“My goal before I enter the course was to be more connected to myself and to learn to be more mindful of everyday activities. During the course, I have learned different ways of mindful communication, which is so necessary to keep good relationships. Meditation and mindfulness are a daily routine for me now and I feel alive. Estelle has been a great support, I really appreciate her personal approach to each person in the group. Highly recommended! Life-changing!” Santa – MBSR participant

WHAT IS MINDFULNESS

You’ve heard of mindfulness. Maybe you’ve even tried practicing mindfulness or read about its role in helping to manage stress. You’re not alone—we live in an extremely fast-paced world, and sometimes, we forget to check in with ourselves.

Jon Kabat-Zinn defines mindfulness as following: “The awareness that arises from paying attention, on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally”.

BENEFITS OF MINDFULNESS

There are many emerging areas of research on mindfulness meditation benefits. The following topics are some of the ones where there is ample solid, robust research that points to the fact that mindfulness can positively impact:

  • Stress reduction

  • Anxiety and depression reduction

  • Insomnia reduction

  • Reduction of the impact of chronic pain

  • Reduction of emotional reactivity

  • Better concentration and memory

Here a short video from Jon Kabat-Zinn explaining the benefits of Mindfulness.
